What Our Guests Say
Admired and Loved by Guests
Could have stayed for a week!
The kitchen was well appointed with lovely extra touches. A beautiful herb garden just out the backdoor. The fireplace was set, underfloor heating in the bathroom — the whole house was cozy and warm. Our group of 6 had a lovely homemade dinner together around the huge kitchen table.
— Sheryl
Beautiful, comfortable and cosy
The little added touches with fresh food, complimentary G&Ts, etc., were so nice. Everything was clean, well-appointed, and beautifully presented.
— Joanne
Nothing to fault
Beautifully appointed. Clean and comfortable. The bed linen was of the highest quality. Loved cooking in the kitchen and eating out in the garden.
— Bruce
A magical historical stay
Such a shame we only booked for one night. The bathroom floor was heated, the tub was huge, and the house retained its heat so well with the fireplaces and heaters throughout.
— Emma
We wished we could stay longer
What a beautiful place to make lasting memories! The fit out is exceptional — free gin and tonic, wines available, beautiful artwork and a deep welcoming bath. Everything looked better than in the photos. The fireplaces and heating were perfect.
— Louise
Fabulous accommodation!
Brilliantly renovated and beautifully decorated. Warm, cosy, lots of terrific books to flick through while relaxing with a glass of wine in front of the fire. I would love to stay again. Wonderful!
— Susan
We had the best time
We very much want to come back. Beautiful location. Lovely house — cosy, stylish, interesting, warm. Enough of everything: coffee pods, towels, cooking facilities. Can't fault it.
— Marguerite
Spectacular — can't wait to return
Beautiful and historic but lovingly renovated. Well fitted out kitchen. So warm and cozy to eat dinner and play cards in front of the fire.
— Eliza
Sympathetically restored
I liked the period history of the property and the tasteful decor. Sympathetically decorated but still with all the mod cons.
— Neroli

Spectacular
Very comfortable, beautifully appointed and we loved the warm fire on our cold weekend. It would be a lovely house to live in. Thanks so much for sharing.
